Our First Vacation

Goin' home at last!

I think every moment of the first vacation of my husband and mine was my favorite. It was our first vacation together and our first vacation with our daughter Hailey (9 mos. old at the time). We had a wonderful time in Colorado Springs. We love nature and got to introduce Hailey to some beautiful country. My husband packed Hailey around in a baby backpack through the Garden of the Gods, Pike's Peak, and Royal Gorge. Not to mention the 250+ stairs at Seven Falls. She loved every minute of it and so did he! There is nothing like realizing how special a family is and how doing things together only brings you closer. I charish our yearly vacations.

I love the picture I have included of Hailey on our drive home (9 hours). She looks so sweet. I smile at it because her expression seems to say: "Whew!! We're finally going home! I'm exhausted!"
