getting ready for snow fun!!

My husband and I and two friends decided to drive from Long Beach, Ca to Cape May, Nj. We took route 40 most of the way and the most amazing part of our trip was the drive through the rockies, we left Grand Junction, Co in the late evening and headed up the mountain in hopes of missing the weekend traffic. As we rounded a bend we saw the most beautiful mountain goat all white and snow covered. Then we decided to stop for the night in Eagle, Co just outside of Vail. After we checked in we went out to play in the snow, who says at 27 you are too old to play. We made snow angels, a snow man and had a snowball fight. I grew up in Southern CA and this was my first snowball fight and snow man. My husband grew up in Cape May, Nj and he had an advantage, he made a bunch of snowballs up before hand!! I think that was cheating. We had a great time and then we got back in the car the next day to continue our journey. The girls all crochetted and knitted scarves and hats all the way across the US, we ended up with 17 scarves and 10 hats. The adventure was so much fun I hope to be able to take our children some day. (that is when we have children).
