Ashlynns earns her full colonol wings on her vacation day

Hello my name is Stephen and my daughter is Ashlynn. In May 2007 Ashlynn took a vacation day from school to participate in Take Your Daughter to Work Day. Ashlynn was looking forward to this day for a little bit over a year being that I could not take her to work when she was six and in kindergarten and the first graders and up did this. Will I am in the U.S. Army and I cherish every moment that I can spend time with my daughter, because of my duty and not knowing if I am going to be around time to time. I deal with U.S. Mail and distribution as my main job. Anyway when Ashlynn turned seven she was excited that she was going to get to come to work with me. When the day finally arrived she was ready to participate and very eager to do so. Upon arriving to work with my daughter she started to ask questions right away and was eager to learn my job. Ashlynn handled the mail, posted mail, delivered it, helped customers out, and was smiling and laughing while she did this. My co-workers enjoyed this and seeing the happiness in a seven year old little girl to work, learn and eager put a smile on there face as well and a few laughs. Ashlynn earned a set of full bird Colonel wings that day and out ranked her daddy as I am a SSG. She made a poster board of all that she had learned while on her special vacation day from school. Ashlynn was even put in my works paper about her day at my work and her vacation day. When the day was done Ashlynn told me that â¬Sthis was the best day I have every had daddy thank youâ¬ý. This put tears in my eyes that I and my co-workers made a very special day for a seven year old little girl. This June 2008 is going to be another special time for Ashlynn which she does not know as of yet, but I have military duty in Florida and she is going and her mom to Disney World and it will be first time visit for us all. Ashlynn does not this yet and she wont know until she is there at Disney World and has some wonderful surprises planed for her, so I will bring some tissues for me and mom. br/br/br/Sincerely br/Stephen Hughs br/
