Matterhorn Avalanche

My hubby, cousin (who is like a sister to me) & went to Disneyland in April of 2008. We've talked about it many times since returning home & we all giggle at many things that happened those 5 days.

One evening we were heading back to the park after resting some so we could watch the Electric Parade. We got in the elevator with another gentleman. We were all talking so much that no one noticed we didn't push the button for which floor we were wanting to go to. We stood there for a rather long time before ti dawned on us that the car was not moving. We think those watching the security cameras probably got a good laugh at that.

There was also the one time we rode the Grizzly River Rapids with a family from a foreign land. The mom of the group was carrying a very expensive Gucci handbag. WHAT?!!! If that wasn't bad enough she opened it just as the geyser at the end of the ride erupted & nearly sank our boat. She was screaming at the top of her lungs & her teenaged kids were almost hurting themselves trying not to laugh. Yeah, she was smacking the on the arm & yelling at them as they were leaving the ride. My hubby & cousin tried in vain to warn her that the Grizzly & Gucci don't go together.

On the last day we wanted to treat ourselves to ice cream. We ordered the Matterhorn from Carnation Cafe. I had stepped away to use the facilities. When I came back my cousin & hubby were giggling...I found out why...the Matterhorn a bit of an avalanche when it arrived & they had to rush to save it. But I got some. See? ;-)

I'm sure we'll have even more fond memories when we go in Sept. '09. I'll post 'em.
