Grand Canyon

My Mother and I had been talking about the grand canyon to my two children long before our visit about all the beauty and grandeur we would see. I had never been there either and we were all very excited to finally get there. We saw a beautiful sunrise on the way into the viewing area. As we stood at the edge of the canyon to view I was so impressed with all the colors and just the idea of seeing this miracle. My son said "I DON'T KNOW WHAT EVERYONE'S SO EXCITED ABOUT. IT'S JUST A LOT OF ROCKS." He now has a different opinion; but it was not so impressive to him at the time as we would have hoped. We can never be sure how someone will react to a new experience.
