You end up with a lot of idle time when you travel by air. Scavenger hunts are an easy way to spend those hours calmly.

IN THE AIRPORT

You don't want anyone lost in the crowd, so set off in parent-child teams to find the following:

  • A child holding a doll

  • A person carrying four pieces of luggage

  • An abandoned sports section of USA Today

  • 4 pilots

  • 2 courtesy carts

ON THE AIRPLANE

Find these items individually or together:

  • Cars

  • Railroad tracks

  • A cloud

  • Another airplane

  • A mountain range below

  • Someone speaking in a foreign language

  • A father holding a baby

  • A person in an apron

  • Somebody sleeping

  • A laptop computer

  • A mustache

  • A briefcase

  • A Walkman radio

  • A pillow and blanket

  • Candy

  • A blue tie
