Coonamessett Farm

Twenty acres of sustainable agriculture await at this community-oriented farm and popular fall pumpkin-picking patch. There is even a "Little Sprouts" program that allows local children to plant and tend their own small vegetable patch for ten weeks. Check out other nearby family travel spots in Cape Cod.

Gross Farms

Gross Farms' pumpkin patch is open for families to pick their own jack-o-lantern pumpkin the second week in October. From large, future jack-o-lanterns to small decorative pumpkin-ettes for table tops and front stoops, this patch is the top pick for this area. Plus, your kids will enjoy stepping out of the patch and into Gross Farms' life-sized puzzle, an intricate corn maze that changes every year (check out last year's corn maze—pretty impressive!)

Riley's Farm

Who knew there were so many varieties of pumpkins? Riley's carries all six: Rouge Vif D'Etampes, Baby Bear, Charisma, Tom Fox, Valenciano. Since their patch is a popular spot for Angelinos (it's about 80 miles from downtown Los Angeles), call all ahead to make sure that the variety you're seeking is ripe for picking or is not already picked out before heading out.
