Broker a Hotel Deal
Great deals at major hotels usually turn up off-season or at the last minute, but here's another tactic families can try: work with a hotel consolidator (also called a hotel broker or discounter).
Consolidators work by securing blocks of hotel rooms at wholesale prices, then reselling them at rates that are in theory, at least lower than the published "rack" rate. Some consolidators will only reserve your room; you pay the hotel directly. Others require a prepaid voucher that you present to the hotel upon arrival. Many consolidators claim savings of 10 to 50 percent (some even more), but as with any bargain, it pays to know what you're getting into.

The best way to save money is by planning out your trip as most as possible. If you can plan where you want to stay the more time you have to look for hotel deals. Something to think about to is that there are different rates each weekend depending upon what conventions are happening at the hotel.

Fortunately, finding good hotel deals in Amsterdam is a 'breeze walk' because all the hotels advertise their facilities and room rents in the Internet. It is up to the tourists to research and check out if the tourist attractions are good and affordable restaurants are nearby or within walking distance to the hotel. Care should also be taken not to choose a hotel in any dangerous neighborhood in the hope of saving a few pennies!
