Animal Kingdom Thrill Seeker: Dinosaur
This recently renamed attraction (it was formerly called Countdown to Extinction) is a wild ride back in time to the Cretaceous period to save the iguanadon (a gentle, plant-eating dinosaur) from extinction. It's a noble mission, but it ain't easy. You'll meet up with asteroids, meteors, and plenty of dinosaurs who aren't vegetarians. A popular attraction that combines atmospheric scariness with a high-speed ride.
Age Group: Especially popular with those 8 and up
Height Restriction: 40 inches
Fastpass: Yes Thrill factor for ages 2-4: No stars. Much too intense, even if they make the height requirement.
Thrill factor for ages 5-7: Two stars. Definitely a "big deal" ride but may be okay for kids who really like dinos.
Thrill factor for ages 8-11: Three stars. Lots of bouncing around, but they'll love it.
Thrill factor for ages 12 and up: Three stars. Teenagers name this ride their top choice in the Animal Kingdom.
