The Best Digital Cameras Under $200
I have a Kodak Easyshare, and while it is good for everyday pictures, it isn't so good in low light. I may have to check out the Fuji or Panasonic.

I looked at both the EasyShare and FinePix, but I ended up with a Panasonic Lumix LS70. I bought it because it has an ISO of up to 1275 - I do a lot of work in ambient lighting and I loved this aspect of it. I like it a lot so far, and I only paid a little over $200 for it, a memory card, and rechargeable batteries (with charger). Not bad!

I've got to add my appreciation of the Sony CyberShot line, as well -- I've never been happier with a point-and-shoot! Even though I've also purchased the Sony a100 D-SLR, I still use my CyberShot a lot, and with excellent results!

We have a Kodak EasyShare, which has been fine. I like the charging dock; my daughter has one with batteries and she's always having to put in new ones.

We just purchased the Sony CyberShot DSC-W55 (updated model to #4 in the article)and we love it. It is very compact, lightweight, easy to just start using, almost no shutter lag which we wanted to capture our fast moving kids. I also like the internal memory as it can hold about 36 photos, which is not bad, but we still purchased an additional memory stick. The only thing I don't like is that there are currently no aftermarket batteries available, so if we want a 2nd battery we have to buy a Sony brand which runs about $40. However, the battery life is really good, so we may be able to survive without a 2nd, it's just that you can't use the camera while it is charging. The best part is that we waited and searched and found it for $149.99 on sale...watch those ads!

I wish I'd seen this before I spent a small fortune on my latest camera!
