Feel Like $1 Million for Free

Feel Like A Million Bucks

Feeling great doesn't have to mean spending a lot of money. In fact you can do things right now, today, that will actually save you money and make you look and feel like a million bucks.

As a mother of 10, our household of 12 is certainly feeling the weight of the current economy. I've altered the way I do things. But instead of getting down and letting myself go, it's now, more than ever, that we as the women, wives and moms need to grasp the little things that keep us feeling more energetic, positive and overall fantastic about ourselves and our lives.

Here are 7 cheap (or free) ways you can feel like a million bucks:

Don't Let Anger Age You. Make Amends.
If there is a relationship that is bothering you, don't lose any more sleep over it -- invest in fixing it! It will be well worth it when you feel that weight lifted from your shoulders and when your sleepless eyes can rest.

Random Acts of Giving
Unexpected giving can rejuvenate your soul. It will bring a joy that will spill into other areas of your life. Even in hard times, give of your time and, if you can, resources and you'll get back much more in return. How we handle money and material things on the outside is a reflection of who we are on the inside. Give from your heart; it is the source of generosity.

15-Minute Tub Time
Relax in the tub – behind a locked door! Soaking in the suds can help re-focus your mind on the task at hand – you. Clear your head, moisturize your skin and enjoy.

De-clutter Your Home...and Your Mind
When you organizer a closet, drawer, bag or fridge you will also de-clutter your mind. You'll feel accomplished when you're done and be rejuvenated to tackle whatever's next on your plate.

Gratitude Journal
Focus on what you're grateful for at the start of each day.Use this list to guide you to recognizing what you truly value about the things you already have.

A Little Lipstick Goes a Long Way
Never underestimate the power of a little gloss to give you the boost you need before entering that meeting, the grocery store or before your husband walks through the door.

Share the Load
Don't allow yourself to be a dumping ground for your spouse's stress over the downturn of the economy. Offer support and together talk through how your household as a whole will make the sacrifices required to keep the house moving.

Coffee on the Cheap
If you can give up the coffee runs to Starbucks, you could save yourself both time and money. Brew at home or start taking note of all the places that have free coffee available to you. With all the money you save you could treat yourself to a day at the spa!
