I live in the south as well. I also homeschool my daughter. Most days..isn't it fantastic?!!
HI! Just stopping in to say Hi and see how you are doing. Hope you have a great week!!! ~Sabrina
Good Morning, Well young lady, whatever you are doing, keep up the great work! I keep hearing wonderful things about the Wii (heard you get sore too) LOL, but you are making phenomenal progress and deserve "Most accomplished" of the month award! Have a great day. Michelle
Hi Tere! Prayer does work! What a comfort being Christian and not having to worry about all the stuff that others worry about. He always provides. Like the song says, "You can't always get what you want, but you get what you need." Yes, food can play a big part in adjusting mood, from good to bad and back again. I told this to a friend of mine, "Sugar is the devil!" She cracked up laughing. Later I got an email with a picture of a bag of sugar. She had drawn red devil horns and a trident tail on the bag! LOL - she got the point! A healthy food plan is key. Eat at least five servings of veggies, fruits in moderation (loaded with sugar), lean protein, limited whole grains, and so forth. If you use a 1500 cal diabetic food plan, you can't go wrong. It's balance and keeps blood sugar level, even if you aren't a diabetic (which I'm not, but hubby is). Whatever you decide to do, let's do it! I'm here for you! ~Belle~
Hi Tere! I"m so glad you wrote to me! I I have a family friend who had severe chronic depression. Once she put the sugar and "white foods" down and started eating right, her depression began to lift. She still needs meds but no where near as high a dose. She added oatmeal and fatty fish (salmon, mackerel and tuna) to her food plan, which made a noticeable difference (and the oats lowered her cholesterol!) Also, exercise makes a world of difference, even if it's a brisk walk for 10 minutes. Start a food diary topic in the group and see if that helps keeping you on track. Please let your doctor know that you are not on medication right now and that you're starting this new journey, just so he/she knows. Above all else, ask God for help. I'm Christian and really believe in the power of prayer. You're on my prayer list. Just take this one day at a time, one moment at a time, if you need to. Good luck, Tere! We're here in the trenches together! We can do it! Hugs, Belle
Congratulations tsizemore4! Making the decision to take care of yourself is the very first step! I always recommend that you have a conversation with your doctor about diet and exercise to make sure you're doing it in the healthiest way possible. Your doctor or a nutritionist will be able to determine what kind of food plan is good for you. Whatever food plan you choose, starting a food diary topic and posting your food before or after you've eaten it will help. It's been a big help to me. Planning ahead of time keeps the guesswork out of what I'm going to eat. Also, with your doctor's approval, move around every day, whether it's a walk around the block, a jog on the treadmill or dancing to some fun music. The more you move, the more you'll want to move. I still have 60 lbs to lose, but one day at a time, we can do it! Leave me a note - let me know how you're doing. :) ~Belle~
Happy 2009! Sounds like you have been very busy! The Moscow Ballet?, How awesome was that? Did your daughter love it? Better yet, did you get any pictures in between tears of joy and pride? Have a wonderful year and keep smiling. Write whenever you can. Michelle
Good Morning Friend, How are you? Are you ready for the Big day? LOL, I'm not...yet...we will be baking and cleaning today. No school today so vacation has started and big snow storm is on it's way. Busy and funfilled day planned. Hope little ones cooperate...that's always the challenge.... Have a wonderful weekend. Happy Merry Christmas Michelle
Good Morning Lady, Don't apologize for feeling blue. Everyone has their time and moments. We wouldn't be human if we didnt. I hope you have a more stressFREE kind of day today. If you need anything drop me a line. I'm in and out all day long. Keep your chin up and try to smile. Smiling is good for you, from your body to your face and spirit. Hugs and Smiles, Michelle
That is so cool. Pace is basically all the way across town from us. We live on the west side of town. Technically we live in Warrington but, on the National scale I figured no one would know where that is. Just like Pace is super close to Milton we are super close to Pensacola.
