- Dutch Wonderland has come a long way since I first visited nearly 20 years ago. The coasters are bigger, the food is better, and it's quite a bargain.

- Just came back from whale watching up in the San Juans (where Orcas Island is). Saw tons of orcas -- mostly from J-Pod, which includes the area's most popular whale, Ruffles. It was pretty amazing watching them frolic in the water.
