What's the best bit of advice you received when you were a newlywed?

Drop your expectations! Of course we all have some, but being realistic goes a long way. Unrealistic expectations can set you up for disappointment.

What is the best thing about the kids going back to school?

A little quiet time! Very little - the 4 year-old and 21 month-old will still be home. I do enjoy more structure to my day, and it's good for the kids as well.

Other than cleaning the toilet, what's your least favorite chore?

Dishes. I've never had a dishwasher and it can really tedious with so many of us under one roof.

Morning sickness? Strangers' hands on your tummy? What was the worst side-effect you experienced during your pregnancy?

I loved pregnancy and generally felt and looked better than at any other time, however I had a pelvic separation with several of the kids that made moving nearly unbearable.

What is your favorite, family-friendly DVD?

I hate to sound cliche, but anything Disney works for us. Right now a couple favorites are Meet the Robinsons and Ratatouille. I also find that we watch the National Treasure...
