How do you decide what movies are appropriate for your children?

My son is 11 and he is more strict about the ratings than I am. He's terrified of seeing a sex scene and really not interested in blood and guts that give him nightmares.

I've felt like it ... but I'm very hierarchical, and I believe that the teacher is the boss of the class, and needs to be respected ... questioning a teacher is fine ... but...

How did you choose your child's name?

We named my son after the Rock of Cashel in Ireland. My ex had gone there when he was 12 and he never forgot it or the name. I think Daniel Day Lewis named his son Cashel...
