Tonight's dinner is still up in the air, but last night i made the best spaghetti and turkey meatballs ever!
I broke up 1 slice of bread and added it to 1.5 lbs of ground turkey, then I mixed french onion soup mix to a beaten egg and added that to the ground turkey as well. I mixed everything together and formed medium sized meatballs.
THEN I took each meatball and coated it with egg and then flour and then egg again and then Italian style breadcrumbs mixed with parmasean cheeze.
Then I browned the meatballs in a skillet before adding them to a baking dish coated with red sauce. I finished cooking the meatballs for 15 to 20 minutes at 425.
I'm Irish, so Italian cooking doesn't come very naturally to me. I saw Tony Danza cooking meatballs in a skillet one day and it gave me this idea. I like how the meatballs come out crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. The onion soup mix gave them so much flavor that I didn't mind serving them with canned sauce and boxed pasta.
