We were living in virginia and were traveling through North Carolina to visit our parents in Texas. Our new car overheated. We made it to a dealship who also did repairs. The kids had waited all they could. Hungry and restless, a man who worked at the dealership drove us to a wonderful restaurant for a late breakfast. Everyone was so nice to us in the diner and the food was what my grandmother would of made. Home made biscuits and jams, eggs, grits, just the whole menu was full of comfort food. In the midst of serious illness of my husband, traveling early morning, and the breakdown of a new car there was this place of love and peace. Yes, for sure, this was our most memorable dining experience as a family.
