Carriefunk December 04, 2008

Tiffany, I'm really worried about you. I wish I had your e-mail! I know how busy your life is but you haven't been on in over a month. I've been thinking about you. Let me know you are OK.

R.O.F. - While geting the trailer unhitched his back popped! I get a text message saying I'm in trouble! A few mins later he calls and is panting so hard I think he's having a heart attact. I get my son on the phone with the ER telling them he's coming into the parking lot, send someone out with the wheelchair that he hurt his back and probably can't work the 12 hr shift. 2 hours later we have coverage for the shift, a cat scan done, and Tyler and I are driving up ther to bring him and the car home! We got back at 2:30 in the morning! The stomach bug went thru our family, I thought I'd never get over that one, I was really scared, visions of last year came haunting me. Well, I need to make 2 pies, I'm procrastanating! Then I have to get ready to brave the Black Friday crowds. Amelia and AJ want a Wii from Santa. If I can get one that is what he'll bring, that and nothing else! $1,000 for Christmas this yr, I need sales!!! Happy Thanksgiving sending you hugs!

Hi Tiffany, weren't we just talking about Halloween and now its Thanksgiving! My oh my. I'm assuming you've been busy with school bake sales, Thanksgiving lunches, programs, Cheer, and praying no one is ill. Is my radar on track? Are you cooking for the clan? Maybe you'll be lucky and get to go to grandmas house and just have to bring a few dishes this year. I'm cooking, but I'm doing a brisket (school fundraiser!) and a 4 pd turkey breast! We'll have some stuffing veggies, and pies. Mom is making cheese grits - the kids favorite. Since we've talked, Kevin hurt his back, had to take a week off, but he's back to work and more than making up for that short break. He has to work Thurs. so we'll be eating late after 7. We usually eat at lunch time, oh well at least he will be here. The airplane decided not to start when he was in New Mex. So he had to drive his little Civic with the trailer - small- and 4 drawere tool chest over there. out of room -

I pray that you are having a great week end.

Hey Tiffany, 6 AM for an all day cheer event! Do you have to take all the kids? That is really early. Well, I always wanted a May baby, I have Aug, July, Jan., and March!! Planning doesn't work! The house is quiet now that my niece has left with her 3 girls. My kids are worn out! My 18 yr old's car was broken into last night. They bashed in the back window on the passenger side. Took a backpack with a calculator! The car was parked outside our garage. We live in a 'nice' neighborhood, at least it use to be nice! It is so frustrating, the officer said many cars were hit last night. It has to be kids because the glove box was not touched for ins papers for identity theft. Well, I have to go, the kids need help! have a great week. \Carrie

Tiffany, I figured you have been busy with everything. I was just praying no one was ill. Well the new sofa set is BEAUTIFUL. The kids are threatened to within an inch of their lives about food and drinks!! During the party, all food and drinks for children will be in the garage, I thought of that long ago! I had all carpets in the house cleaned this summer, so I was taking that precaution! I'm worried about the economy, and Christmas being so near. The kids keep adding to their wish lists and I keep telling them Christmas is going to be small. I don't think AJ really believs in Santa at 9 yrs, but WANTS to! I bet you feel the same way I do. Of course my 21 yr old is happy with anything, but my 18 yr old expects the moon. On top of that Amelia's b-day is Jan. 4th! I've spent the day arranging furniture, cleaning and finishing decorations. We haven't made it to the corn maize so I guess ww'll have to buy pumpkins someplace else. NO room, take care!

Today was another emotional day... so your kind words of encouragement were timely. I am a pastor's daughter. My only sibling, a brother, is the assistant pastor. And although my husband has had as many years of experience, if not more, and has had the same education my brother has, I struggle so much with the fact that we are never going to measure up... so, it is very difficult. We moved to my hometown to help with the ministry, worked full time jobs, gave up all of our free time and vacation time to devote to serving the church, and my sweet husband just continued to do it for the Lord, even though he was being squashed by my family. It breaks my heart... and now, we are bowing out of everything and believing that God is moving us to Oregon to come alongside a family who has started a church there. Now my family is mistreating us because we are leaving. I'm so sad and so confused.
