My brother and his family moved to Pace, FL last July. We have been down a couple of times since then. My niece takes gymnastics at a large gym in Pensecola. My nephew plays football for Pace. We really like the whole area and love to visit.

I'm glad she is doing better. My oldest daughter would throw up all over me when her teeth came in. She would fall asleep on me like yours does. Its a shame you can't go. That would have been so neat to meet up there! We haven't even left yet and we are already planning our 2010 trip!!! When we get back from this trip we will probably start a countdown for the next! Hope everyone is doing well now at your house!!!

Hi!!! How's the baby doing? I see she is feeling better. Hope it was nothing too serious. How is the weather down there? We are driving down in 13 days to go to Disney!!!

Good morning! Thank you for your kind words about the sippy cup story. :) If I had more room I would have described exactly what our lunch nook looked like after that very first day of cup learning. The toddler giggles were infectious. I know what you mean about having a lake in the kitchen. At one point I though "Lake Belle" was going to be on the map! I should have started with water! That would have saved on laundry. But I was inspired by how bright these little ones were. My intuition was right - twenty three years later they're happy, well adjusted working folks with little ones of their own, and have spent time mopping up milk and doing lots of extra laundry during that brief period in their child's life. :) Thank you for leaving me a note! There are so many ways to do "sleep." It's so nice to see that all of you have found a solution that works for your family. I appreciate your sharing that. I know that if my kids were little right now, I'd probably be doing things differently than I had. Thirty five years ago we automatically went along with convention because that's what our parents did. My daughters taught me a lot when they had their kids. :) ~Belle~

Hi! I was just visiting Parentpedia and saw your story about getting your 15 month old to sleep and letting her reach her milestones on her terms. I thought your approach was very interesting and really thought provoking. My kids are in their 30's so we did what was typical when they were toddlers. But my daughters believe in the "family bed" and I think their kids are well adjusted for it. Thanks for sharing your story!

Disneyland is such a magical place..we all love it too...We try to get down there for a week each year...last year was a hard year...we didnt make it...but I sent my youngest with one of my other daughters with her family ...so Cyd didnt miss her trip...but this next May we will all be going together again....can't wait...so much fun to be had...hope you have a great day with your baby and hubby..take care
