I have heard Val's name before but never met her. The only person I really know from PSD is Prinnie Eberle. I haven't spoken with her since last February at the ESDAA Boys Basketball and Cheerleading tournament. At that time she was still the Athletic Director for PSD. Do you sign with your children? We do and I've been trying to help the daycare personel learn some as well so they know what my 20 month old twins are saying. The older girls actually sign more now that the babies are signing and they get so excited when the babies use a new sign. One issue we are having now is that Jacqui and Xander (the babies) are not really talking much. Jacqui signs in full sentences but only speaks a few words. Xander signs chuncks of words and gets his meaning across but doesn't speak. I'm fine with it but the pediatrician is referring them to birth to 3 for evaluation.

Hi. I work at American School for the Deaf in CT. I've been there for 10 years. Teaching for 15 years. Did you work at PSD or WPSD? I've been to both for boys basketball/cheerleading tournaments when I was coaching cheerleading. I started learning to sign when I was 8 years old because I was a patient in the children's hospital here for some minor surgery and there was a deaf boy on my floor but none of the staff knew how to sign and it annoyed me. So, I went to the hospital library and found a sign language book and started to learn. I went to his room when they would let me and we would play cards together. After that I just kept up with the books and took classes when I could.

I love your ILY hand sticker. I teach middle school students with special needs at a deaf school. I read that you are fluent in ASL and was curious why you leaned to sign.

Katrina, I hope this finds you and your family in better spirits. I think the hardest thing for you will be those that don't want to offend you, so they won't say to much about your grandma. (If I remember correctly it's your husbands grandma) You will sometimes feel like your just going through the motions, but always know your family will be there and your closest friends. If you ever need to rant just let me know. We're back to dancing here. Getting ready for Spring Recital. You know I have a friend who lives in Chicago now. We just reconnected on Facebook and when he told me he was there I thought of you. Keep Smiling. Michelle

Hi maddoxabz! Hi maddoxabz! I wanted to let you know that our tech folks are working hard on the avatar issue and hope to have it resolved soon. One suggestion we have right now is to go Edit Family Portrait and try to change your outfit. They think that might help and, hey, a wardrobe change is never a bad thing, right? Let me know if you have any more questions or I can help with anything else. =)

Thinking of you. Hope everyone is handling everything. I'm here if you need to 'talk'. Scrapbooking takes time. With 4 kids I'm always behind!

Hi Katrina! I hope you and your family are holding up during this difficult time. No matter how prepared we think we are, it's always difficult to lose a loved one. I agree that our Disney Family is wonderful, especially during hard times. This is a great place to escape and reinforce the knowledge that you are loved. If only we could zap ourselves from one place to another, like on Star Trek, we could REALLY be there for one another. Alas, our words of support for each other will have to suffice. Keep hugging and kissing those kids...they'll get you through it! Love ya! ~Dee

Katrina, I was sorry to read about your loss. I know it's not easy. I'd love to say time heals all wounds, but it doesn't. Time just puts a band aid on it that sometimes still gets ripped off. If you need anything, even just to vent let me know. I've got a great ear and have lost both my father and brother. Lot's of love to you and your family. Michelle
