How are your daughter's treatments going? I hope you are all doing well and wanted to let you know I've been thinking about you. Jennifer

Glad to hear things seem to be moving along well and that everyone's spirits are up. What are you going to do about Kindergarten? You mentioned before that your daughter will probably miss a year of school. (I completely understand if you don't want to share with me, this is a very personal issue. No offense would be taken.)

How did the birthday parties go? What did you do for cakes this year? I hope everyone had a great time. I might be doing the Prnicess and the Pea cake from Family Fun for one of my girls in May. Not sure what kind of cake the other three want. Right now our big question is what activity one of the older girls would enjoy on Saturdays. One is very happy with her gymnastics class and the babies are just starting a class with me and hopefully my mother just to have some fun and extra physical activity to build their motor skills. The girl I'm trying to figure out has already tried dance, soccer, and basketball. No love for any of those. She had expressed an interest in karate so I brought her to watch a class. She decided to pass on karate. She asked to try a motion class at the same place the babies are going to go to so we are going to try that this weekend.

Good luck with the birthday party planning. We have it pretty easy because the twins birthdays are so close together (May 14 and May 16) and usually we have good weather by then. Before their birthday last year, we bought our own professional grade bounce house. We had rented one for parties twice before and realized that since they still enjoy bounce houses it would end up being cheaper to just buy one. It has been nice. We have used it for last year's birthday party, a family picnic, and a day when I just needed to keep the kids out of the way so my husband and his brother could close up the pool. It's already paid for itself since we've used it 3 times. I'm sure we will use at least 3 more times this year once the snow is finally all done and the ground isn't mush! My biggest trouble with birthdays is the cake. I like to make them myself and I don't like to make the same cake more than once. I also don't like the kids to have to share a cake so I make one for each. Crazy!
