When I was about 9, my family took my Aunt and cousins visiting from ND to Fort Bragg, CA so they could see the ocean. We stopped in at a little restaurant on the wharf. We wanted hamburgers but couldn't believe the price - $10 for 1 - until the waiter informed us that it was over a pound of meat and we would only need to order 1!. We ordered 1 hamburger, 1 shrimp cocktail and 1 pitcher of root beer. It fed all of us! That was almost 30 years ago now and when we see that part of the family, it always comes up.
