Hi again! I love homeschooling. I started both girls in first grade. They went to Kindergarten k3-k5. I have talked to several moms in your position. I was one too. I couldn't make the decision. I finally left it up to my oldest and she said that she wanted to homeschool. It took about a year and a half for her to get totally used to mom also being teacher. It was a little hard at first but it is well worth it. I say, if you have seriously thought about it, you should try it. I think school makes our kids grow up way too quickly. We belong to a homeschool group of 250 families. We have field trips, dances, proms, co-op classes and classes for high school courses such as chemistry and biology. Things that would be very hard at home. We also take SATs so I can keep track of how they and I are doing. I hope this helps you. Hi Jessica! My name is Tere. You commented on my moment about being busy. I am. We homeschool and have all sorts of activities. Never a dull moment. With a toddler, you can do many things. She will take it all in. In Birmingham we have many things to do. Yes, the zoo, but also all types of museums. Most museums cater to young children. I have always looked at our local activities calendars for festivals, day out activities, she's not to young for story time at the library. We used to seek out animals to look at in fields. Cows and horses are very interesting to little ones. There is somuch. Do not think that she is too young. Where are you in Indiana? My husband is from Columbus, IN. So I have been many places in sounth IN and up to Indianapolis. My sister in law lives in Louisville, KY. Get back to me and we can talk more.
