Jennifer, thanks for the note. Last year I served as Master of the lodge. Have you thought of working with Ranibow in an advisory role? I strongly believe in the values taught. Mark
Sorry I haven't updated recently. It's been busy around my house. We got to come home last Tuesday night. My daughter was sick the first few days, but hasn't vomited since Friday morning. We got our hair cut real short. I didn't want her to freak out too much when her hair falls out. She has chemo again on April 10. I hope we are out of the hospital before Easter. Did you have your parties yet? We have a website set up for my daughter: caringbridge.org/visit/madisonboudreaux feel free to check it out if you would like to keep up with her progress.
Hello mate, Do you know about it? http://www.google.com Click here click here
I don't mind sharing. It's actually helpful to get it off my chest. We are checking into homebound schooling. That is where they send home assignments then a certified teacher comes to your house two days a week to make sure you keep up with your class. Then, when you can, you go back to school and are on the same level as everyone else. We'll see if that works out. She just started her chemo tonight at 5:30. She is doing great. Thank you Jesus! Her cousins came visit tonight and she played as much as she could wheel around her medicine. When are your parties? How's the planning going?
Hello there yes, they are. they weren't much of a surprise though, considering every generation of my side of the family has at least a set of twins. My specialty is languages, but I'm currently teaching generally every subject to middle school kids until we're more settled then I will find a well paying job in my ESL field. It's nice to find someone very similar to me. :)
Sorry, I haven't kept up with my messages for awhile. The birthday party went great. Everyone had a blast. We had the funniest clowns there. I decorated a rectangle cake board with a light blue tablecloth, to look like the sky, and made cupcakes, iced with red, blue, green and yellow icing, to look like balloons flying. I taped curling ribbon, in the coordinating colors, under the cupcakes and curled the ends. I also made my son a transformer cake. They do not make a pan in the shape of a transformer, so I took a couple of uncopyrighted photos to my local grocery store bakery and they made me some sugar sheets to put on top of the cake. I frosted and decorated the edges. It looked good. I made my daughter a Hannah Montana cake in the Wilton guitar pan. I surprised myself. It came out great. Since then my daughter's had surgery done, a biopsy, and has had a bone cancer diagnosis. We are all in good spirits, as we have faith God will take care of her.
I like to make my cakes too! Although I did order it last year. I also make them their own cakes. Last year, when I ordered the cake, I got one split down the middle with the characters they liked on each side. Oh, I got the message 4 times! haha
Very funny!! You probably won't be too surprised to hear that I had a very similar situation happen. The only differences are that my two got into lotion and powder and my husband decided it was o.k. to nap while they were still up! Quiet one minute-chaos the next!! Funny to see, not so fun to clean. I always say that if we can't hear them, they're probably up to no-good. Life is NEVER boring. I am running crazy right now. I have only 2 1/2 wks. before their b-day party. I am one of those parents that overdoes it alittle. My parties are always fun, though!
Yes, they are pretty close. They are turning 5 in March. I couldn't imagine having 2 sets. How do you manage? I guess you're accustomed now, after having "been there, done that". I have boy/girl twins. They are completely different beings. I do have to say, my little girl is alot more co-dependent on her brother than he is of her. She is his "voice". She feels like she must speak for him even though he can do that for himself. I guess that's because, before he got his tonsils and adenoids removed, no one could really understand him. They are so fun to watch. I don't know if you do that, but I love to watch them interact with each other. Are your twins mischevious? Mine are always into something. It was nice to hear from someone else with twins.
Hi, I started signing with Carter and Sydney when they were very young. As they started talking they signed less. I haven't really been consistent with signing with them as much as I used to. When they are with my brother they know they have to sign. Carter has been more interested in signing lately and loves his signing dvds. I never had an issue with them as far as verbal communication. I don't think that I would be concerned about them not communicating verbally. I've heard from lots of deaf parents with hearing kids that their children will sign and not talk at all. They all developed normally and are communicating verbally just fine now. It's also normal for twins to have speech delays especially boys. They are still communicating whether it thru sign or orally. I know doctors tend to be overly cautious at times. Well I have to make cookies with the kids now. Talk to you soon. Katrina
