Dear HenryandAnisMommy, I keep trying to respond to your comment, but it doesn't post, so I'm trying this instead! I hope it works. It's such a good question, about whether the kids might be mortified one day. I like to imagine that, because they've grown up in our family, they'll have a great sense of humor about themselves. But I also like to think that when they're older, they'll understand that what I was writing about the whole time was myself, as a parent--even though I was telling stories about them. It's such a good and squirmy question for me. There are so many things--in Ben's life in particular--that I never write about anymore, for just that reason. Thank you so much for writing!
