I'll be knitting a sweater for a knitting magazine. The designer hasn't told me the details on what it'll look like. Some projects are a surprise when I open the patterns and see the yarn that is chosen for it and other projects I know exactly what I am getting into.
It must have been forgotten on his gran's "training list". My hubby and his dad are clueless when it comes to cards and stuff like that. My dad and his brother were well versed in a card for every occassion, how to send them and what would happen if you didn't. You should see the look on the faces of my hubby and his dad when I give them cards even now after all this time of being around me. And they still haven't caught the hint that they should return the favor. And I've known my hubby for 25 yars.
I'd love to be able to pay someone to clean the house for me so I could have more time to chase my three year old. I'd also love to be able to take another vacation, the last one was way to long ago.
My mom's solutions were a great way of doing things. My dad was notorious about not spending money.When they first got married, he furnished the house with worn out antiques that my grandmother was tired of. He then told my mother that they couldn't get anymore furniture, because my grandmother didn't have anymore.
My grandmother hated to cook. She used her household grocery money to pay for her maid. My granddaddy hated to socialize with her friends. He used his "Date" money to pay for his.
My mother's solutions worked in other ways as well. A second leaf blower mysteriously appeared in an area my mother didn't have to break into. And, as my mother was "so upset" by my father's yelling, while he was moving the old furniture back into the house where ever she wanted it to go, some new pretty things showed up too.
