When my kids were young and went trick-or-treating I did check their goodies before they were allowed to eat them. I would bring along some of our own candy for them to have a safe treat or two while going door to door. Some Reese's Peanut Butter Cups magically disappeared from the treat bags each year. Wonder how that happened?
