It depends on the grade level of the kids. Being as the speech will be posted on Monday for previewing by parents and school districts, I think it's fine, but parents should have the option to opt their child out of listening to it if they so choose.

Excellent point, we are going to be able to "pre view" the speech, so we can prepare for questions from our children. What is wrong with a motivational speech from OUR PRESIDENT. I did not vote for Obama, dont particullarly care for him or the majority of his policies, however he is our President and deserves respect. I mean seriously people what do you think he is going to say? Why would our president say anything inappropriate to the future leaders of our Nation? It will simply be a "stay in school, and work hard" speech. Perhaps we need to let go of the petty stuff, and let our children hear the President's message.
