- So, we didn't take Suntours, but wished we had. For city-people used to driving on freeways, the barely-two-lane drive up Going-to-the-Sun Road can be a little scary.

- Warning for those scared of heights: this road is a great way to try to overcome your fears! It's a beautiful drive, but I was so scared that I kept my white knuckles glued to the wheel and eyes focused in front of me.

- This place is wonderful! I've spent a lot of time in Denver and this is a place I visit often and always recommend people go, whether they have kids or not.

- The best time of year to visit the Denver Zoo is evenings during the winter holiday because they decorate with festive lights and animal sculptures -- they call the event Zoolights. Be sure to bundle up!

- Dinosaur-obsessed and fossil-obsessed kids will enjoy the prehistoric exhibit. The mummies were a little creepy for the youngest of the bunch.

- The Denver Art Museum has something for every art-lover - educational, as well as fun for the kids. Our favorite part is the Samurai in the Asian exhibit.
