No, I did not go through an online service, although I know there are alot of good ones out there. I have five kids and they were going to a private school until 1994 when we enrolled our fourth and it just became more than we could afford. I just used the same curriculum that they were use to using at school. I taught them straight from the book and did not use videos. I am teaching for the very last year...Yeah! All of my first four children have done very well and they have all been to college. Just call the local Board of Education where you live and they should be able to help you get started.

My husband and I were thinking about homeschooling our son, because my husnband is in the military and we move every few years...plus we love to travel. At what age did you start, and did you guys go through an online service/school? I'm quite clueless about all of this.
