Christmas break is a given - Disneyworld. We've been doing it for 3 years and my 3 teenagers want to do it again this season. Summer week is always at at cabin resort near a lake. We've been going there for 10 years. Winter break is always something different, either a snow or beach vacation. The kids are happy to just go away.

Parents know best...but in reality, it's mostly about the budget! Secondary are when vacations (work and school) align, the season, whether we can double up on a parent's business trip, whether any family get-together's are going on around the state/country.
