Throw a Disney Halloween Party
From a gang of ghostly pirates, to the netherworld ne'er-do-wells dwelling at the theme park's Haunted House, Disney's colorful characters create the ideal theme for a boo-tiful bash in your own home. Gather the gang for a Disney-fied frightfest sure to delight your boys and ghouls.
What to Serve
![]() |
Pirate Skull Cookies: Add a ghostly maritime theme to your event with these foreboding treats. You can either serve them at the event -- along with the Pirate's Skeleton Hand, pictured above -- or package them up in glassine bags. Throw in a few gold chocolate coins and tie them with black curling ribbon to send home as party favors. For take-along cupcakes, line a Chinese take-out box (found at party stores) with black tissue paper and arrange Haunted House Cupcake Tombstones or Jack Skellington Cupcakes inside. Paint craft paper with hot tea for an antique feel and let it dry before wrapping the boxes in craft paper tied with a length of rope or chain found at hardware stores. Goody Bags

Pirates' Loot Grab Bags: Doubling as both game and "craftivity," these favor bags make the perfect Halloween party project. Let kids make and assemble their own bags, using the printable template. Fan out piles of toys, trinkets and wrapped candies on a table, then blindfold each guest, offering fifteen seconds to fill the bag with whatever he or she can grab. Make Pirates' Loot Grab Bags> |

Belle's Halloween Charm Bracelet: With a little help from a grown-up to make the charms, girls will love stringing these sweet Halloween trinkets and taking them home as favors. Boys, meanwhile, can help a grown-up make one of seven Disney-themed Jack-o-Lanterns to decorate the doorstoop. (For a seasonal snack, let kids help scoop out, clean and dry the seeds before sprinkling them with Kosher salt and having an adult bake them in a 375-degree oven until browned and toasted). The Invitation
Haunted Mansion Madame Leota Party Invitations: "Horntoads and lizards, fiddle and strum. Please answer the role by beating a drum!" Send your guests a printable invitation courtesy of the fortune teller who greets guests of the Haunted Mansion. For a Victorian touch, invest in parchment paper envelopes, found at craft stores, and seal with red sealing wax. (These will require extra postage and should be marked "Hand Stamp"). Huey, Dewey & Louie Ghosts: These adorable decorations, featuring Donald Duck's three rambunctious nephews, work great as a Halloween table centerpiece. Scatter some candy corn at the trio's feet to create a seasonal food pun. Fairy Godmother's Pumpkin Patch is a sweet project for younger kids, offering color and Disney magic to your holiday buffet table. Gus and Jacques' Paper Mice, another simple project, offer a tongue-in-cheek nod to Halloween - a craft that kids of all ages can make and enjoy.
