Teaching toddlers manners...I think has been very difficult. My son, for example...has been a bit of a challenge. He is still in the tantrum screaming stage at restaurants (unless of course he is distracted by french fries, or a straw) despite the best efforts of my husband and I.
Since our son is not yet fully communicative, we have found it hard to start working on his manners. He screams when he wants, wants to walk around when he wants, and is unhappy when we try to put him back in his high chair or seats at restaurants.
We have basically just come to the point where we try not to go out very much with him, especially for dinner. Dinner turns into my husband or I (or other family members) walking around the restaurant chasing my son while everyone else sits and talks and eats.
Hopefully, he will get out of this stage soon! I will keep trying to teach him manners...maybe it will be easier when he is a bit older.
