I have three children who go to camp every summer. The first year was the hardest.... on MOM but after they loved it, so did I. I only send my kids to a camp where I know the adults and the reputation of the camp. My son went on his first "adventure camp" just last week and I was a little apprehensive because I did not know the camp counselors but we had used the camp for 8 years sooooo I let him go. He knew nobody and the campers were 2/3 girls. Guess What? He had a ball, he caved, hiked, went horseback riding, kayaking, and learned to get along with others. I would recommend camp to every mother but only if they trust the camp and the counselors.
