Repeating a Grade
Some schools have cutoff dates for when a student can matriculate. For example, some say the child has to be 5 by September 1. But if your child just turned 5 on August 29th, and many of the other students will soon be celebrating their 6th birthday in October and November, it may not be a bad idea to have your child repeat. This way they will be "caught up" emotionally and be better prepared for learning. It may not seem to make much of a difference at a young age, but later years could be a bit of a struggle.
