When I first got my period the absolute worst part of it was the shame associated with the unavoidable stains that happen. My mom made me scrub and scrub and it was awful and I felt terrible that I could never get them out. Later in life I read somewhere that hydrogen peroxide will get out blood stains really easily, and I tried it and it works like a charm. You put a little on the stain, even if it's dried, and the peroxide bubbles up... apparently it reacts to organic compounds ... and you let it bubble, and if it doesn't come out the first time you do it again, and before you know it, the stain is out.
This is something I wish my mom had known/taught me. It would have made me feel a lot better.
