Applying to College
This had to be the single-most nightmarish part of my oldest daughter's high school career. I thought we would never get done filling out forms and applying for PIN numbers and searching for scholarships. She is now happily enrolled at a college close to home, but the biggest thing I learned was to START EARLY! When they start sending applications and forms and flyers and brochures in their junior year, pay attention. The time really does slip by so quickly and I now know that my second child (and all the rest) will be starting the application process much earlier than senior year.
