My story about: Talking to Boys About Sex

migueli_d's story

April 19, 2008

The most important thing to remember when talking to your son (or daughter for that matter)is to be honest and open with your child, and they will stay honest and open with you. If they are made to feel ashamed for having such feelings in any way with any part of their growing up they are less likely to come to you with question before exploring what they are feeling and try and hide what they are up to. I learned that talking up front with my kids about my mistakes it made them feel less intimadated and more open with me about many subject and because of that I always knew they would make the right decisions. My son has turned out to be one of the most respectful men I know towards women. And I am very proud of his accomplishments, especially since I was a single mom.
