Dating
It's important to know the person your child is dating. Make sure that person has the interests and qualities you feel are right for your child. Often kids like to date "the bad" seed to help them see what life is like on the other side. While this may be ok for a while, make sure that whoever they are dating doesn't pressure your child into doing things they may not be ready for or are dangerous such as sex, drugs, or illegal activities. Also, if you see signs that your son or daughter is being abused by their boyfriend or girlfriend, it is time to step in and end the relationship. Get help of the school or local authorities to make sure that your child will be safe from the abuser.
