The other day my teenage daughter came home smelling like cigarettes. I of course immediately asked her if she had been smoking. She said no. I could tell by the look on her face and her smoky breath that she was lying.
I didnt know what to do. I didnt know if I should tell her that I knew she was lying. I didnt. Instead I told her I was glad that she was not smoking, that it was bad for her, and that if she was, it would not be tolerated in our house.
I dont know if I did the right thing.
