I want to wear my underwear!

When I was in middle school and even into my first couple of years of high school, I walked around the house in my underwear. It didn't help that I was a gymnast and always practicing my gymnastics in my underwear at home.

My brother who was two years younger than I was horrified by this. He told my parents that he could not bring friends over as he never knew if I would be wearing pants or not. I was not modest! My parents tried everything to no avail. I was now turning 15 and did not concern myself with my brothers feelings.

One evening, I was so excited as this cute boy who I had liked forever said that he would come by as he just got his license. I was upstairs counting the minutes and primping in front of the mirror for a long time until I heard the doorbell ring for a second time. I came down the stairs screaming at my family as I thought that this boy would leave. I stopped in my tracks as my entire family was all in there underwear. Seeing my dad and brother in their tightie-whities was not a pretty sight.

I told them to put on their pants immediately so that I could open the door. They said that they were very comfortable and perhaps not wearing pants was not a bad idea after all. I quickly got the point and promised never to hang out around the house in my underwear again. My older sister, younger brother, mom and dad ran upstairs so that I could get the door by the third ring. That night I learned the meaning of being respectful to others feelings and common courtesy towards my brother and sister and parents also living in the home.
