My sister and I were three years apart and we fought horribly. When I had my own kids, I chose to have them less than a year and a half apart. And...they fight horribly! My youngest came four years after the second one, and she gets along pretty well with both of the older two, though because of the age difference they really don't play together much. So I've found that the spacing of your children really should have everything to do with what YOU as parents can handle in terms of taking care of them. I loved the fact that I had my first two so close together. Many people don't like having more than one child in diapers at a time, but I liked getting it over with fairly quickly! It was quite a bummer when the next one didn't come along until more than a year after my other two were out of diapers. Then I had to start all over again!
