After a long difficult day nothing sounds more inviting than a long soak in a hot bubble bath. Unfortunately, while you're pregnant you'll need to make that relaxing bath a warm one. (It doesn't need to be tepid; just make sure it's not scalding.)

"Personally, I'm one of those people who do not find soaking in near-boiling water relaxing," says Susan Magee, author of "Pregnancy Countdown." "It's too hot! And this is exactly the problem according to the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. They say that becoming overheated in a hot tub is not recommended during pregnancy."

Pregnant women aren't supposed to let their body temperature go above 102 degrees so getting into really hot water is a no-no. Hot tubs and whirlpools tend to have temperatures around 104 degrees, and what's more, they stay that warm at all times while your bath at least will cool off the longer the bath water sits.

If you want to socialize with your girlfriends at your health club's whirlpool dangle your feet instead of taking a dip. Oh and by the way? Stay out of the sauna and steam room, too. They also can raise your core body temperature too high.
