- isotretinoin like Accutane, Amnesteem, Calravis, and Sotret
- hormonal therapy like estrogen
- tetracyclines
To be safe, patients using these medications should be on a reliable form of contraception.
The safest course is to stop taking potentially harmful medication before you conceive so it has time to get out of your system. If you're still taking it when you find out you're pregnant, stop immediately.
