Vomiting -- Babies

Version 1

The first time my baby vomited I burst into tears because it was at the end of an hour-long crying jag and I was already frustrated. My poor husband had to deal with a crying, vomiting baby and a hysterical wife. I made him drive us to the emergency room and yelled at him when he suggested I change out of my vomit-splattered shirt first. Luckily, it wasn?t serious, but I?ll never forget how scared I was. I?ve vomited plenty in my life and held the hair back of girlfriends who had a little too much as well, but it?s true what they say about how having kids makes you see things in a new way. When my baby vomited, it was as though it was this brand-new alien disease that had never happened in the history of the world and I had to fix it RIGHT THEN. I was expecting that feeling from watching them blow bubbles or play in a puddle, but I guess you take the good with the bad.
