High Chair Safety

Is there such thing as a high chair that is too big or too small?

When you are registering for a high chair check the size of the chair and make sure it will fit in the eating area of your home. A high chair that is too big or bulky can be a tripping hazard for everyone. Make sure that the chair itself is sturdy and won't easily tip if someone does trip over it. You don't want to trip over the chair and see your baby tip over too!

Do you think it's important to use the strap on the high chair even though my child cant climb out?

Strap your kid into the highchair every time you put them in there.  That way, you'll do it every time out of habit and get them used to it as well.  In the early days, there is little chance of them climbing out but as they get older, they will start wiggling out and you don't want the first time they try to be the first time they fall out.  My daughter tries to climb out all of the time (she's almost 2).
