Liquidy goodness plus a silly picture

You're going to make the first few attempts with cereal as close to the baby's liquid diet as possible.  Add formula or breastmilk in abundance to the cereal. The cereal will just drip off the spoon. 

Try to lower your expectations with the first feeding so that it's just a chance to explore the spoon and new flavors as well as a photo op. Babies get more practice than actual nourishment for the first couple months.
