There's nothing like a stopped up nipple to get your infant squawking in protest during a bottle-feeding. One glance at her frustrated little face, and it's as if she's saying: "Um, excuse me, but I'm sucking away here and, well, nothing!"
Running the nipple under warm water for 10 to 15 seconds should help loosen any caked-up formula that's plugging things up. Be sure to shake the bottle again so that the powder and water are thoroughly mixed.
To avoid a stopped-up nipple, shake the formula with only the bottle cap on for a good 25 to 30 seconds. Remove the cap, add the bottle ring and nipple, and serve....
