Is there a best or better positions for burping my baby?

There is no best position for burping a baby. The important thing is that the baby is well-supported and that gentle pressure is on the stomach to help push the gas up. The two ways used the most are over-the-shoulder and sitting baby up, leaning her slightly forward with one hand on her stomach.

Burping Tips (for baby, not dad)

Although burping as an adult can be rather vulgar, it is simply adorable when your little baby does it -- even if it is followed by spit up. If your little burper has lots of saliva or spit up, be sure to keep lots of burp clothes around. There are several fancy kinds out there but nothing really compares to a good old-fashioned cloth diaper. They just absorb so well. Bibs also work and they will help keep your babies clothes from getting wet. If your baby doesn't burp very well in the traditional over-the-shoulder position, try out several positions to see what works best. It might take some time to get a good burp out so be patient.
