Plugged Ducts
What can I do if I have a plugged duct?
Oh, this can be painful. A warm bath helps. But refrain from using bubble bath or any perfumed products, they can make matters worse. Aveno oatmeal baths can give you the soft luxury feel of a bath but they won't irritate your skin. Use warm washcloths to cover your breasts while you are soaking. Also, stay away from salty foods and drink lots of water, it will help prevent future plugged ducts and once they have cleared, if you have an abundance of breast milk, pump it out after each feeding. This will help as well. If you just can't take the pain, go see your doctor to rule out a more severe problem.
